We know that it can be stressful to leave your pet alone when you go out of town. This goes doubly if your companion is feeling unwell or is recovering from surgery. Our veterinary hospital serving the Grenada area wants to help put your mind at ease in these situations.

We provide complete general cat & dog boarding services for all of our patients, and medical boarding services for pets with conditions standard boarding centers may not be equipped to accommodate.

We have pet boarding services for both dogs and cats, including daycare service if your pet need monitoring for a short time, overnight stays as an alternative to boarding facilities, and medical boarding for pets that need some extra veterinary attention from us during their stay.

Medical Boarding for Pets in Grenada

Boarding: A Typical Day

Dogs

Each morning, our canine boarders venture outside to our outdoor run for some fresh air before their breakfast. While they are outside, their kennels are cleaned, disinfected and stocked with fresh linens.

Depending on your dog's physical activity needs and ability, we will walk them on a regular schedule during their stay.

Your dog will also have supervision throughout their entire stay with us – both during walks and while they rest. in the evenings, dogs will be taken out for one last walk before bedtime while their kennels are freshened up to ensure your pet rests comfortably through the night.

Cats

Your cat will be fed according to their individual dietary needs to ensure they receive proper balanced nutrition while in our care.

We will provide your feline friend with one-on-one engagement and interaction (as long as they want it). This includes pets, snuggles and play. We will periodically, check cats' litter boxes, clean them out, disinfect their kennel and tidy up throughout the day.

We refresh linens and clean your kitty's room daily. Our cat boarding area is separated from the dog area to ensure your kitty feels relaxed and safe while they stay with us.

Medical Pet Boarding

Your pet will be supervised by our expert veterinarians and nurses, who will administer medications and watch over them closely. Any required medications will be administered to your pet on the same schedule they are used to at home.

  • How should I prepare for my pet's stay?

Each animal is different. To prepare for your pet's stay with us, we'll take the following steps to ensure that we can meet their unique needs.

Step 1: Contact us to get started

Call us to book, and to discuss details about your pet and your boarding needs. A member of our team will be happy to coordinate your booking.

Please note that, due to the nature of our accommodations, we do not accept unaltered dogs. Pets must be up to date with all vaccinations and free of fleas and ticks to stay at our facility.

Step 2: Book a trial stay

We want to be absolutely sure that we are a good fit for your pet before an extended stay. The trial stay consists of a full day of daycare where we can take the time to assess your pet's temperament and make sure they fit in with the pack.

Step 3: Set your pet up for success

On the day when you drop your pet off with us, there will be a few steps you can take to help reduce the stress that your companion may be feeling.

Make sure to spend some extra time with your companion before dropping them off and give them some vigorous exercise beforehand so they are feeling a little tired and a bit calmer than normal. When arriving at our facility, remain calm, cheerful and confident during the seperation.
